CBD 1000 Chequebook Dispenser
The Chequebook Dispenser CBD 1000 is designed specifically for the production of cheques / chequebooks from cheques "blanks" containing all background and non variable information; all variable information being provided by the CBD 1000 system.
Encodes MICR code line to ISO standard. Reads and corroborates the quality/accuracy of the encoded line. Automatically rejects, cancels and perforates non standard cheques. Text prints all personal information: cheque number, sort code, branch address, account number, customer name. Collates the completed chequebook, staples and binds to professional standard with cloth finish tape. Presents finished book Chequebooks not taken by customer within a given time may be automatically withdrawn and deposited in locked security box. Interface with PC is by RS232 serial port. The PC (stand alone mode) or host computer/PC (on line mode) provide the CBD 1000 with all the necessary data for the production of a "tailor made" chequebook from the data base. On-line configuration makes possible the issuing of chequebooks for any branch at any outlet of the bank.
The CBD 1000 has many in-built self diagnostic functions for correct feeding of stock and functioning of printers; they check against double feeding, upside down, wrong way round loading, encoder ribbon and binding tape exhausted condition, also fouling of paper on the paper track thus avoiding unnecessary crashes.
The whole processing time to complete a chequebook is approximately 50 sec for a chequebook of 10 cheques, or 1 min and 30 sec. for a chequebook of 25 cheques.
Self service solution
The CBD 1000 operates as a self service equipment developed to be installed in the lobby of the banks. The costumer insert his card and, following simple instructions, can obtain a single cheque or a cheque book up to fifty sheets. This solution enables the Bank to increase the level of service to the costumer and better manage the operating and processing costs. Security. Physical lock and key, complemented by password control secure cheques stored in the system.
Back office solution
The CBD1000, fitted in the back office cabinet, can be used in back office solution to simplify the service of the Bank Operators in issuing cheques or cheque books for their customers.
